Parting Thoughts on the 4th of July

So I’m back on the east coast after a fun couple of days back in LA.  I must say, it’s strange to go home . . . mostly because it still feels like home.  After law school is over, I could definitely see myself going back home to California.  It’s a number of years away but still . . . Cali feels like home.

It was fun getting to see people and hang out and to go back to all the parts of LA that I enjoy.  It was also nice to spend some good time with my little kitty =)  Even if she is a lazy little kat.

Sat night I got to spend with Russell, CT, Monica and Isidro.  We ate at Rock Sugar at Century City — it was Isidro and CT’s first time there.  The food was really yummy . . . we even splurged for a $35 Whole Thai Striped Bass, which was delicious.  Here’s Russell with his catch of the day.

After that we trooped out to Mulholland Drive to watch some fireworks from up high — the fireworks all looked so tiny, it was fun to see all the different fireworks shows going on around the city.  The next day, I was sitting on a plane headed back to DC.  I was exhausted and fell asleep pretty fast . . . but not before dealing with some drama with my car.  More on that to come.

Virginia

Here’s a quick look at Virginia from the plane as we were headed down to the airport runway.
